Breanna came to Catholic Charities’ Community Connections program because she was struggling to stay afloat after her employer cut all employees’ hours to part-time. As a mother of three, she worked hard to support her family, but mounting bills, including a high TXU balance she couldn’t pay on time, made daily life stressful. She had even taken out a title loan to cover rent, yet she remained determined to provide for her children and keep a positive outlook, saying, “Negativity will get me nowhere.”
Community Connections helped Breanna by paying her overdue TXU bill in full and introducing her to the LIFT program, which offers tools to build financial stability. Through LIFT, Breanna can learn to budget, save, improve her credit score, and gain guidance from a mentor who will cheer her on while offering real-world advice.
Now, Breanna’s life looks brighter. With immediate financial relief and a plan to build long-term stability, she is empowered to turn challenges into triumphs and take steps toward the future she has been dreaming of.
