[vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”Our Present is Our Presence” font_container=”tag:h1|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”]As we continue to learn and evolve, we’ve been taking a look at our presence. As the holiday adage goes “our present is our presence.” By this, we mean understanding where we show up for our clients outside of our four walls, how we make ourselves accessible and easy to work with.
We already work well beyond the bounds of our headquarters. We’ve got our Employer-Based Services Navigators who work out of our client’s places of business. We have our Stay the Course, Rural Vocations, and Fort Worth Future Fund teams who work on site at the schools they impact.
What we’re learning is that when we office where our clients are, we’re able to use local people in local positions to help be community insiders. To help open doors that would otherwise be shut. We’re visible to our community partners. We’re visible to our clients. And this enables us to better connect with clients, we can see first hand what they are experiencing.[vc_custom_heading text=”Being There Equals Organic Support” use_theme_fonts=”yes”]And when you’re not an outsider, from a different building, or “organization,” or county- we’ve found that the organic support from the community we’re in is even stronger.
One teacher has even gone above and beyond in integrating Fort Worth Future Fund’s goals of college readiness into the classroom. Our Family Engagement Specialists have already been working on how they can support classroom learning, but had not yet identified how teachers in the classroom can support Fort Worth Future Fund’s shared goal of college readiness. Learning from the success of this new partnership with our outstanding teacher, the Family Engagement Specialists will begin to define key strategies for successful classroom collaboration and identify more teachers to serve as program champions both within the walls of their own classroom.
We’re grateful for a moment to review some of the nuances of what’s working at our remote sites, and what we can learn as we push forward. The truly innovative programs at CCFW are creative teams of individuals who often expand their service model in response to new ideas, information, and dynamics within their environment. So, we’ll be making a note of this for future.[vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”1066″ img_size=”full” style=”vc_box_rounded”]Presence is more than a buzzword. It’s a crucial component of our work.[vc_single_image image=”1068″ img_size=”full” style=”vc_box_rounded”]We take our services out in the community and operate at community colleges, businesses, schools, and more.
